I love this wall. I have always said that my home would be a reflection of who I am and what I love, and I'll be darned if my husband, whom I love to death, won't be in all, or at least SOME, of the pictures I put up in our home. To his dissatisfaction of course.
Now going back to this wall: if there is anything that needs to be perfect when it comes to putting up these 9 frames, it has to be the measurements. Needless to say, this did not come without it's mathematical errors. Did you guys know that some walls aren't the same length going from one side to the next or moving up and down the wall? PSA: they aren't! I can't tell you the minor, I'm talking minute, difference in length and boy did that ever make it 10x more challenging.
But I digress.
If you look closely at this wall, it's not perfect. Actually, you don't even have to look that closely. Anybody can see the slight slant of the bottom left photo, as well as the top right, and you might notice that the spaces between any two pictures may vary.
What I can say is that this taught me one beautiful thing: just as these frames are slanted, life will always be kinda crooked as well. Work knocked you down or personal stuff might become a little too messy than you think you can handle. But the often overused, slightly cliché phrase "Nothing's perfect" really should keep ringing in your ear. Life itself is not always a straight line, and there will be many different things that throw you off, change your attitude or make you go a tad bit crazy. (That bottom left photo had me going NUTS, but it's nothing a little ticky tack couldn't fix). You can't dwell on what you can't control. You simply have to push through the crookedness, grab some ticky tack, and embrace the obstacles that come your way.
