I'm sure all of you have that one thing that makes you extremely obsessive to the point where your family immediately begins rolling their eyes in annoyance when you bring it up. Fortunately for me (unfortunately for my family), I have five favorite things that are very near and dear to my heart.
The Sound Of Music
If any of you were able to get the reference I left in my title, props. The Sound Of Music holds a very special place in my heart. My mom introduced me to this classic years ago. I couldn't have been older than 8 years old when I sat down and watched the very classy Julie Andrews share her love for music to 7 children while falling in love with a very dapper Christopher Plummer. This movie has it all: singing, adorable children, a romance that can only be true in the movies, and Nazi's. My favorite thing about this film would have to be the songs including "Edelwiess" and "Sixteen going on Seventeen." If you haven't seen this movie, please do! It is a timeless classic that will have you smiling, crying, and laughing all at once.
Harry Potter
I have a problem. I am a Harry Potter geek. And no, I am not talking about the movies (although they are entertaining, and I would be lying if I said I did not love them as well). It's the book series that holds my heart. Once again, my mom had a major part in this obsession. She read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to my brother and I in the second grade. After that, I was hooked. I read each and every book more than once while I anxiously awaited for the release of another. This world of wizards and witches enchanted me. I wished to be the next seeker playing in the Quidditch World Cup, or dance away at the Yule Ball with Harry of course. Once I held that final book in my hands to read, I was heartbroken before I even began. I grew up with these characters and I couldn't imagine my life without magic. (Dramatic, I know). Anyways, I have a plethora of Harry Potter trinkets, and I am continuing my collection.
Michael Bublé
I'm am going to be a teenage girl for two seconds: I AM HIS NUMBER ONE BIGGEST FAN.
Okay. I got that out of the way. Whew. I do really love Michael Bublé though. I can appreciate the fact that others may not like his jazzy music or crooner style, but I cannot get enough. This man has me wrapped around his finger, so much so that I am going to his concert, yet again, in August. It will be my third time to see him in concert, and I recommend it to any fan. He is not simply a singer; he is an all around entertainer that will having you laughing until your abs hurt. From "Everything" to "Haven't Met You Yet" to "Home," Michael Buble tugs at my heart strings.
Soccer
Soccer has been a big part of my life. I started when I was 6 and have been playing ever since. This game just about takes up all of my life, makes me want to crawl in a hole and die, and frustrates the living daylights out of me. Without it though, I wouldn't have the friends that are in my life today, and I wouldn't be the person and athlete I've been shaped to be. Blessed is an understatement when I talk about all the opportunities soccer has given me. Here I am now about to graduate college in the fall with a degree in Nursing because I was able to play Division 1 Soccer for the best school in East Texas. It's mind boggling.
P.S. The biggest sporting event in the world is happening as I type this. AKA The World Cup! I would highly recommend that you guys watch it. It's soccer at it's finest!
Dove Dark Chocolate
Simply put, dark chocolate is the way to go. There are countless Dove Dark Chocolate wrappers all around my room because this is my one guilty pleasure. If you haven't tried one, I implore you to do so! You will never go back to milk chocolate again :)

The Von Trapp family singers!
Just one of my many Harry Potter possessions.
The very classy Michael Buble.
