In one month, Kristi, Sammy and I crammed in 8 cities and 7 countries into our schedule.
Our moms worried about us. Our dads laughed at our pictures. Our boyfriends gave us advice on what to see. My brother deep down wished he had joined us to relive all his art history days.

We missed trains. We ate new things. We walked several miles a day. We got mad at each other. We made each other laugh. We ate too much gelato. We saw many a landmark. We learned many phrases in different languages. We met some pretty outstanding people. We also met some extremely rude people. We lost a 600 dollar camera. Germany helped us get it back. We slept in airports. We stayed in hostels. We took way too many pictures. We got to travel some of the world and were left wanting to travel much much more.
What's also pretty awesome is that I took a journal while I was abroad, and I was able to write down what happened day by day as it occurred.
As the weeks go on, I want to share my experience with you, so every Sunday, I'll post my journal with all my thoughts from every city.

I hope you'll laugh. I hope you'll picture the beautiful scenery through my not so great writing skills. I hope that you can love the crepe that I was obsessed with as the trip came to an end. I hope you can feel the horror we felt walking through Athens in the early morning. I hope you can observe the true love I have for my two travel companions (and of course, the occasional hostility which usually occurred when I was hungry).
I hope to have this for both you and me so that later, when I'm reminiscing about that first time I traveled the world, I can laugh and cry and smile all over again.
